Protection

Walking along the dark streets
Holding your hand for comfort
Assuring you I can protect you
From the monsters that lurk
In the darkness around you

Knowing that my powers are limited
To watching and waiting
To preparing and hoping
To guiding and supporting you
Limited to…
The monsters without

The monsters within
Have a different kind of power
An invisible attack
Upon the mind and on the soul
I can only hope I have
Given you the strength
to fight those on your own

      1. I could tell. I didn’t know that you had children, but it was definitely from the perspective of a mother xx

    1. I have been meaning to tell you….I LOVE Hello kitty too πŸ™‚
I have Hello Kitty keychains and a Hello kitty necklace.

I saw a Hello Kitty toaster that makes the toast look like her…..but I was thinking maybe that was going too far…LOL

      1. Hahaha. I wanted the toaster so badly. I have a hello kitty purse and makeup bag, a hello kitty steering wheel cover , many tshirts and a hoodie , a small tattoo hello kitty bow …… Travel mug……I’m an addict. My four year old son completely loves hello kitty as well. I had to buy pajamas for pajama day at his (religious) preschool and he wanted pink hello kitty. I felt bad getting him to choose something else because it really shouldn’t matter , but it definitely would have :/

      2. We are still little girls at heart ❀
You were right about the pink pajamas. It won't hurt him that you encouraged him to choose something else.

However we may wish the world was, our job is to teach our kids to be able to survive in the world as it is…for now.

Who knows maybe your kids and my kids will make positive changes in the world when they are older. I bet they will do amazing things. πŸ™‚

        Hello Kitty is awesome,
