Celebrate Your Accomplishments and Do Not Allow Others to Minimize Them

celebrate

Large goals are reached through a series of many baby steps and small accomplishments.

Each accomplishment, whether seemingly big or small is important. Do not allow others to minimize your accomplishments.

Other people are not inside of your head and do not have the same experiences that you have had. They do not know what it is really like to be you or how you experience things.

Only you can know how difficult or how meaningful any accomplishment you achieve is.

Only you can know how important and significant a particular accomplishment is to you. You decide what deserves to be celebrated.

You do not have to hand your personal power over to anyone else.

Different things are different for different people. Something that may seem easy to one person may be extremely difficult for someone else.

You are the only one who truly knows what things are easier and harder for you and to what degree.

Comparing your accomplishments to those of other people cannot be done in a realistic way. There are many variables that make your experience of doing something completely unique.

Do not allow others to minimize anything that you do nor to minimize you as a person.

What other people say is connected to their own experiences and perceptions.

Everyone sees things through their own filters of reality, beliefs and biases. Everyone does not see the world in the same way. Each person has a special and individual view. Your unique perspective is just as valid as anyone else’s.

Your perception is the priority in evaluating your accomplishments. No one else’s has to have impact on you.

Your activities and achievements should be in line with your core values and beliefs.

It is not as important to focus on the goal as it is to create a path that works with your priorities.
You can generate your own present and future path that is in line with your values.

What are your personal strengths?

What brings out your passion and energy?

What is special and unique about you that can benefit others?
Your path can be created as you walk upon it. You generate it under your own feet.
Each small step along the personal path that takes you towards what you believe about yourself and how you see the world can be meaningful.
It is more important that your path be meaningful to you than it is for your path to please other people.

People will always find something to complain about, no matter how much you try to please them. Do not let other people determine your destiny or minimize anything about you.

Thanks for the reminders. It’s too easy to see flaws, and so much more productive to focus on the good stuff.
