You Go Girl ! Old Lady Bess

There was an old lady

Who loved to give hugs

She gave them to strangers

She gave them to bugs

Her heart was so kind

People thought she was blind

When she hugged the old man

Who had no home inside

But old lady Bess

Was not blind

She knew what it meant to be kind

The man that she hugged

Felt so filled with her love

He suddenly regained his mind

He took Lady Bess

Arm in arm

It turned out

He had lots of charm

They walked down the road

To his mansion of gold

That he hadn’t ┬áseen in many years

He left there is 1982

When he lost his sweet wife

Lilly boo

It wasn’t the same

And his heart filled with pain

When his wife died and he was alone

But now thoughts of Bess filled his head

She was a fine lady to wed

He unlocked the door

And kissed her once more

And tonight he will sleep in the bed
