A quote a Day for Three Days…Today a quote of my own

They say that if you keep a tiny candle lit in a car that is broken down and lost in below zero temperatures that it will save your life and keep you from freezing to death.

I say that if that tiny flicker of light can save your life in a life-threatening emergency, then that same tiny flicker of light within your soul can save you during times when everything seems dark and hopeless.

Always keep that small candle burning and believe in its power to sustain you.

Blessings for peace of mind,

As always,

Three Quotes for Three Days Challenge / Darkness Cannot Drive Out Darkness

I was selected to do the Three Quote a Day for Three Days Challenge by Charlie over at the Crazy Life blog.

The rules are..

  1. Select one quote a day for three days.
  2. Write a post about the quote telling why you selected it or what it means to you.
  3. Choose 3 bloggers to pass the challenge on to.
  4. Post the link to the blogger who selected you in your post.

Here are my Bloggers for the Challenge

  1. Madness, Sparkle and Creative Flair
  2. I’m No Star Girl
  3. City Without People
  4. A Sheep’s Life

Here is My Quote for the Day…

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
Martin Luther King Jr., A Testament of Hope: The Essential Writings and Speeches

I chose this quote because I have seen it to be true time and time and again. I believe that there are people and organizations claiming to have good intentions that are really working toward their own agenda.

If people have a dark, violent intention then their very proclamation to be doing something “for your own good” is a lie. No matter what schemes they come up with, there can be no benefit to anyone from a person or an organization that had hidden intentions and a hidden agenda.

Groups and people that promote a hate agenda will only bring more darkness into the world for everyone. We must learn to co-exist in peace, although I do not really believe that will ever happen…sadly..

Only true compassion and love can bring light. Hate solves nothing. Hate brings more hate and more fear. More fear brings more misunderstanding and more hate.

The best we can do as individuals is to create out small part of the universe with light and love, reject hate and do your best to surround yourself with supportive, true people.

Allergic to E Challenge

Warmth from your lips,  touching my skin,  lost its illumination. Black from your soul brings sorrow and ill thoughts. What did call out my passion so long ago, now only calls out my horror. For your spirit is distrusting  as it asks for blind, utter submission.

This is my “Has no E” paragraph. This challenge was passed to me from Original  Dante.

Here are the rules.

The rules:

  1. Write a whole paragraph.
  2. Without any word containing the letter “e”.
  3. Challenge at least five bloggers to do the challenge.

Here are my victims.

Allergic to E Challenge

Ok. This is going around on WordPress. It is just for silly fun. I got the info from Tessa Can Do It.

Write an entire paragraph without using the letter E at all. Sounds easy. I shall try now. Let’s see how long it takes me.

Sally was not going to Mary’s party. Sally was mad. Mary had bought the outfit that Sally would look good in. Sally’s mom did concoct an original outfit for Sally and Sally was happy. So, fussy Sally was calm and did go to Mary’s party at last.

Ok, that was trickier than I thought it would be. You guys try. It was kind of fun and a bit of a puzzle. I never realized how many words have the letter E in them.

Good luck ! I am not going to nominate five people. because I do not want to put anyone in the spot. If you want to write the parapgraph and send me the link in the comments here, feel free. It was fun to try it. I know my paragraph is not great. See what you can do with this challenge 🙂
